Instagram Notes: 60 Characters That Fill Your DMs

Phone showing the Instagram app

Notes are the little bubbles at the very top of your Instagram inbox. Up to 60 characters, live for 24 hours, and shown to people you follow who follow you back – or just your Close Friends. Looks minor. It's actually where a lot of conversations start.

Why it works

When someone replies to your note, it lands in your DMs. Direct messages are one of the strongest closeness signals Instagram tracks. More conversations means your Stories and Reels show up for those people more often.

What to write

- A question: "Coffee or matcha? Writing a review πŸ‘€"

- A teaser: "New reel tomorrow at 6 pm, you won't see this coming"

- A poll without a poll: "Rate the new profile 1–10"

- Music: attach a track that fits your content.

A few rules

Keep it short and easy to answer in one word. Swap your note daily, ideally when your audience is online. And reply to every response – otherwise the whole thing is pointless.

Notes work best when you already have people who engage. Starting from zero? KupSledujici helps you get your first followers and the social proof to build on.
