Checking your dub before publishing: a 10-minute checklist

Editing studio with monitors and headphones

An AI dub is ready in minutes. But publishing it without a check is like emailing your boss without proofreading. Ten minutes is enough to catch 90% of the problems.

1. Names, brands and numbers (3 min)

Scan the transcript for proper names, product names and numbers. This is where AI slips up most often – "iPhone 17" must not become "iPhone 70", and your channel name shouldn't get translated. In TubeVoice you can fix the text before the voice is generated.

2. Listen at 1.5× speed (4 min)

Play the whole video sped up and watch for just three things: does the voice match the picture, are there any oddly long pauses, and does the tone fit? A joke should land like a joke, not like a stock market report.

3. Titles, descriptions and captions (3 min)

Nobody in Germany will find a dubbed video with an English title. Translate the title, description and the first two lines of the description, and if you upload multiple audio tracks, double-check each language is labeled correctly.

Bonus: ask a native speaker

For videos with big reach, send a 2-minute sample to someone who speaks the language. One "nobody says it like that" comment can save you hundreds of dislikes.

Dub your videos into 30+ languages with TubeVoice – and if you need to compress or convert the exported files, FileTools has you covered.
